Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Alpha Theta Zeta Chapter
Greetings and Welcome from our President, Lucille Bacon
As President, I proudly greet you and welcome you to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. the “Astonishing” Alpha Theta Zeta (ATZ) Chapter’s virtual home. ATZ is located in historic Savannah, GA. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was the first National Pan-Hellenic Council organization to charter a graduate chapter in Savannah, GA. With more than 100 members, the Alpha Theta Zeta chapter has uplifted the communities of the Savannah and surrounding areas
by providing excellent community service, educational programming, and youth mentorship since its chartering on July 1, 1939.
Here on our website, we offer information on the “Ravishing” Rho Beta Chapter (Savannah State University) and the “Idolized” Iota Tau Chapter (Georgia Southern University – Armstrong Campus), the two graduate chapters that are sponsored by ATZ, and the youth and Amicae auxiliaries that are sponsored by ATZ. Our virtual home provides information for our current and future partners, adult women who do not have a college degree and are interested in the Amicae auxiliary, parents of girls ages 4 to 18 who are looking for mentorship through our youth programs, and women who reflect the sorority’s principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. We also welcome with open arms and hearts Zetas who are interested in reclaiming membership or transferring to our chapter.
Alpha Theta Zeta has a long history of partnering with March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude, and other national service organizations. ATZ also has also partnered with local organizations such as the Savannah City Mission, My Brother’s Keeper, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club. Please stay connected with ATZ by following our social media pages and visiting us here at our virtual home. Should you wish to partner with us, please feel free to contact me at atzprez@gmail.com.
